Gamers with a good memory and bad taste may well remember the games Magna Cum Laude and Box Office Bust, two incredibly bad titles released in 2004 and 2009 respectively which gained universally bad reviews. Those blessed with an even more elephantine knack for recalling the games of yesteryear however will have slightly more positive feelings about the Leisure Suit Larry series from back in the late 80’s and early 90’s.
Reaction may well be mixed then to the news that these original titles are all set to be ‘re-designed’ and ‘re-imagined’ for the modern HD audience, presumably with knob gags still intact. The first game to be released is based around the original game, Leisure Suit Larry in the Lair of the Lounge Lizards; from 1987.
The developer of the series is Adventure Mob and Al Lowe, the original series creator, is on board. The remake is set to hit every format known to modern society (Oh, ok then; Android, iOS, OnLive, PC, PSN, XBOX Live and Gaikai) currently being scheduled for late 2012.
