  • If you purchased your domain from a registrar other than Yahoo!, or you purchased a domain through Yahoo! before January 22, 2001 (or, for Merchant Solutions customers, March 23, 2001), you will need to contact your registrar to make any changes to your contact information (you'll be able to manage certain other domain features in your Domain Control Panel). Learn how to identify your registrar.
Owners of all domains registered through Yahoo! after the dates noted above can edit their contact information in the Domain Control Panel.
To edit your domain contact information:
    1. Sign in to your Domain Control Panel. Learn how.
    2. Click the "View/Edit Your Domain Registration" link.
    3. On the "Domain Registration Information" page, click the "Edit" button, located on the right side of the blue "Registration Information" headline.
    4. You'll see your "Edit Domain Registration" page. Here you can edit your registrant, administrator, and technical contact address, email, and phone number, and modify the name of your administrator or technical contact. (To change the name of your registrant, you'll need to send a request to Yahoo! Customer Care. Learn more.)
Please remember that changes to domain name registration information can take up to 24 hours to be reflected in the public WHOIS database.
To change your name servers or other advanced DNS information, you'll need to visit the advanced DNS area of your Domain Control Panel. Learn more.
Even if you choose to conceal your contact information from the public by using Yahoo! Private Domain Registration, you can edit this information anytime. We recommend keeping your contact information up-to-date in the event that your domain name registrar or another third party needs to contact you regarding any technical or legal issue with your domain name. Including current contact information will also ensure that you receive notification when it's time to renew your domain.
